Man City Players to give fans their money back for Ticket

0

Manchester City’s squad will refund ticket costs for 374 fans who traveled to Norway to watch their shocking 3-1 Champions League loss to Bodo/Glimt. Each ticket cost about £25, meaning the players will contribute a total of £9,357 to cover the fans’ expenses.

Speaking for the team, captain Bernardo Silva, along with Ruben Dias, Rodri, and Erling Haaland, said: “Our supporters mean everything to us. We know the effort fans make to travel across the world to support us, especially in freezing conditions. Covering these ticket costs is the least we can do.”

The move was praised by Manchester City’s official supporters’ club. Kevin Parker said the gesture highlights the strong connection between fans and players, especially given the challenges of traveling to Bodo in sub-zero temperatures.

City suffered one of the biggest shocks in Champions League history against Bodo and now must beat Galatasaray in their final group game to secure a top-eight finish. Haaland described the defeat as “embarrassing” and apologized to the fans, saying: “Bodo played incredible football. I’m sorry.”
