Teenager Luke Littler has reached his third PDC World Championship final in a row and will take on European champion Gian van Veen after both won their semi-final matches in style.

The reigning world champion bounced back from losing the first set to beat Ryan Searle 6-1, producing a brilliant performance with a high average of 105.35. Dutch star Van Veen also impressed, defeating two-time world champion Gary Anderson 6-3 in a high-quality semi-final.

Littler, just 18, remains unbeaten before a final at Alexandra Palace and has now won 11 straight semi-finals in major ranking tournaments. He joins darts legends Phil Taylor, Dennis Priestley and Anderson as only the fourth player to reach three consecutive PDC World Championship finals.

Littler is now chasing back-to-back world titles, something Anderson last achieved in 2015 and 2016. After the match, Littler said he was pleased with his finishing and scoring and is hopeful of raising his game even more in the final.
