Hugo Ekitike missed an open goal as Liverpool and Leeds played out a 0-0 draw at Anfield, marking the first goalless game under Arne Slot.
In the first half, Jeremie Frimpong struck a powerful shot that Ekitike bizarrely headed away from an open goal. Liverpool dominated possession but created few real chances, while Leeds goalkeeper Lucas Perri remained largely untested.
Ekitike was also denied a first-half penalty after a push from Jaka Bijol, and Virgil van Dijk narrowly missed with a header in the second half. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, rested for much of the match, nearly scored after coming on, but was ruled marginally offside in the 81st minute.
The result extends Liverpool’s unbeaten run to eight games and moves them three points clear of fifth-placed Chelsea, while Leeds remain six games unbeaten and seven points above the relegation zone, maintaining a strong record against the champions this season.
