A brilliant goal from Tom Cairney earned Fulham a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace, extending Palace’s winless Premier League run.

Palace took the lead through Jean-Philippe Mateta, but substitute Cairney curled in a superb strike from the edge of the area to equalise. Palace had the upper hand early, while Fulham grew into the game after half-time, with Raul Jimenez hitting the post just before the hour.

Fulham had late chances to win, but Dean Henderson saved Timothy Castagne and Joachim Andersen shot over from close range.

The draw leaves Palace winless in four games, while Fulham are unbeaten in four, with both sides level on points in ninth and tenth place respectively.

Earlier, Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson agreed to join Palace in a £35m transfer.
