Former Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo is set to return to Barcelona on loan from Al-Hilal until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old passed a medical at Barca on Monday and is expected to be officially announced on Tuesday.
Cancelo previously spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Barcelona, making 42 appearances, scoring four goals, and providing five assists. He had also spent six months at Bayern Munich before moving permanently to Al-Hilal for £21.2m.
After limited game time in Saudi Arabia, Cancelo is now set to return to Europe as Barcelona prepare for their Copa del Rey clash with Racing de Santander and a La Liga visit to Real Sociedad.
