Suarez Agree one-year Contract Extension with Inter Miami

Inter Miami striker Luis Suarez has signed a new one-year contract that will keep him at the club for the 2026 MLS season.

Suarez scored 17 goals and made 17 assists in 2025, helping Inter Miami win their first-ever MLS Cup earlier this month. The 38-year-old, who turns 39 next month, has been a key player since joining the club in 2024.

He reunited in Miami with former Barcelona team-mates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. While Busquets and Alba have now retired, Suarez has chosen to stay, with Messi also under contract until 2028.

The former Liverpool and Uruguay striker also helped Miami win the Supporters’ Shield in his first season. However, his time in the United States has not been without controversy, including a nine-match ban earlier this year for spitting at a staff member.

Inter Miami, co-owned by David Beckham, have also added Sergio Reguilon to their squad on a free transfer this week.
