Cole Palmer scored his first goal since September as Chelsea beat Everton 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, ending a four-game winless run.
The 23-year-old, returning after a long spell out with a groin injury, opened the scoring after 21 minutes following a good pass from Malo Gusto. Gusto then added Chelsea’s second just before half-time.
Everton started the match strongly and created several chances, but Chelsea were more clinical in front of goal. Palmer’s calm finish settled the home side, and they took control as the game went on.
Chelsea held firm in the second half despite late Everton pressure. The win keeps Chelsea fourth in the Premier League, while Everton stay eighth.
