Manchester United finished in the play-off places of the Women’s Champions League after beating Juventus in Italy.
Jess Park scored the only goal of the game early on, curling a fine shot into the corner at Juventus’ Allianz Arena. The win secured United a seeded spot in the knockout play-off draw.
It was United’s first time playing in the league phase of the competition, and they ended it with four wins from six matches, a strong achievement for Marc Skinner’s side.
United were the better team in the first half and could have scored more, while Juventus pushed harder after the break as United began to tire. Both teams missed out on automatic qualification for the quarter-finals but will progress to the two-legged play-offs.
The draw takes place on Thursday, with United set to face either OH Leuven or Atletico Madrid in February.
