Leeds United manager Daniel Farke said his team beat Chelsea 3–1 because his players worked really hard and played very well. Goals from Ao Tanaka, Jaka Bijol, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave Leeds the win at Elland Road. Farke said Leeds fully deserved the victory.
He explained that the team has been desperate to get the club back to a high level, and the fans made the stadium atmosphere amazing. Farke praised his players for putting in a big effort against one of the strongest teams in the world. He pointed out that Chelsea recently won the Club World Cup and are considered title contenders, so beating them—and doing it convincingly—was a big achievement.
The win moved Leeds out of the relegation zone, while Chelsea dropped to fourth place.
