England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton has been named FIFA’s Best Women’s Goalkeeper, while Gianluigi Donnarumma won the men’s award.
Hampton played a key role in a hugely successful year, helping Chelsea win three domestic trophies and England retain their Euro 2025 title. She played every match at the tournament, including the final where England beat Spain on penalties.
The 25-year-old was also ever-present for Chelsea in an unbeaten league season and kept 13 clean sheets, earning the Golden Glove award.
Donnarumma, who is Italian, helped Paris St-Germain win their first Champions League before moving to Manchester City this summer.
Hampton thanked her managers and fans for their support, saying their belief and encouragement helped drive her success.
Both Hampton and Donnarumma had already been recognised earlier in the year, having won the Yashin Trophy at the Ballon d’Or ceremony.
