England and Spurs Player Naz will Miss the Rest of the Season Because of an ACL Injury

England and Tottenham forward Jess Naz has suffered an ACL injury and will miss the rest of the season. The 25-year-old hurt her right knee during Spurs’ late win over Aston Villa and will need surgery.

It’s the second ACL injury of her career — she also missed the 2019-20 WSL season because of an ACL problem in her other knee. Naz has started every WSL game for Spurs this season and has six England caps, featuring in October’s matches against Brazil and Australia.

Naz now joins young England players Michelle Agyemang and Katie Reid, who have also suffered ACL injuries this season. Recently, England and Chelsea midfielder Keira Walsh urged football authorities to “listen to the players” about busy schedules and rising ACL injuries.
