Aston Villa manager Unai Emery says it is too early to talk about a title challenge despite his side’s excellent form. Villa have won 11 games in a row in all competitions, including eight straight Premier League victories, and currently sit third in the table.
Even though they are only three points behind Arsenal and face the Gunners next, Emery insists the focus is on one match at a time. He says December is not the moment to discuss winning the league and that the team’s motivation comes from competing strongly in each game.
Emery praised the work being done at the club, highlighting Villa’s togetherness, tactical growth and strong mentality. He also described Arsenal as the toughest possible test, especially after Villa beat them earlier this month.
Villa’s recent win at Chelsea has strengthened their position in the top four, but Emery says his side must remain humble, confident and ambitious as they continue their impressive season.
