Crawley says he didn’t know about Stokes’ “weak men” Comments

England opener Zak Crawley says he was not aware of Ben Stokes’ “weak men” comments, insisting he did not see them and does not focus too much on media talk.

Stokes made the remarks after England’s Ashes defeat, saying the dressing room is “not a place for weak men”, but Crawley said the team treats such comments “with a pinch of salt”.

After scoring 85 in the third Ashes Test in Adelaide, Crawley said the messages from Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum have stayed positive and unchanged, focusing on freedom, confidence and playing their own way.
Despite England being close to losing the series, Crawley said the squad still believes and knows there is more to play for.

Australia are now close to a 3-0 Ashes lead, with England facing another series defeat down under. Crawley admitted it has been tough against a very strong Australia side but said the team remains united, also defending Ollie Pope amid criticism of his poor Ashes record.
