Sale Sharks Women have strengthened their squad with the signing of Canada’s winger Asia Hogan-Rochester, who scored five tries as Canada reached the 2025 Women’s World Cup final. The 26-year-old will join the team from January 1st.
Hailing from Toronto, Hogan-Rochester has also excelled in Canada’s Sevens programme, winning gold at the 2019 Pan American Games and silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She made a standout World Cup debut against Wales, scoring one of the tournament’s best tries and helping Canada reach the final, where they lost to England.
Hogan-Rochester said she loved visiting Manchester during the World Cup and is excited to join a club that values hard work and growth.
Sale Sharks head coach Tom Hudson praised her international experience and try-scoring ability, saying the club is thrilled to have her on board for the new season at Morson Stadium
