Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has reacted after a clip of him suggesting he was in a “talking stage” with another footballer’s girlfriend went viral online.
The video, taken from Channel 4.0’s Savage Kids & Agony Aunties, showed Aina sharing what he described as his “dilemma”:
“I’m in the talking stage with another baller’s girl,” he said on the show.
Aina explained that the other footballer had once shown him a picture of his girlfriend—who turned out to be the same woman Aina had been speaking to for several weeks. When asked to reveal the footballer’s identity, he declined, saying: “Can’t disclose that one.”
The defender also jokingly claimed he could beat the unnamed player “easily” in a one-versus-one situation. In the end, Aina agreed with the panel’s advice that he should “own up” to the footballer involved.
Once the clip resurfaced online and began circulating widely, it sparked strong reactions from fans and social-media users. The backlash prompted Aina to publicly address the situation and clarify his comments.
