Indian teenager Vaibhav Suryavanshi has made history by becoming the youngest player to score a century in men’s List A cricket.

At just 14 years and 272 days old, Suryavanshi blasted 190 runs off 84 balls for Bihar in their Vijay Hazare Trophy opener against Arunachal Pradesh. He reached 100 in only 36 balls and broke AB de Villiers’ record for the fastest 150 in men’s List A cricket, reaching the milestone in 59 deliveries. His innings included 16 fours and 15 sixes, and it was only his seventh List A match since debuting in December 2024.

Bihar went on to post a massive 574-6 from 50 overs, with three centuries in the innings.

Suryavanshi has had a record-breaking year. In April, he hit a six off his first ball in the IPL, and later became the youngest player to score a century in men’s T20s, making 100 off 35 balls for Rajasthan Royals. He also recorded the fastest century in a youth one-day international in July, scoring 143 from 78 balls against England, and struck a 32-ball century for India A in the Asia Cup Rising Stars T20.
