Rivers United technical adviser Finidi George has declared his team ready for battle against Moroccan side, RS Berkane, DAILY POST reports.
The Port Harcourt club will be looking to record their first win in the group stage of the CAF Champions League when they take on RS Berkane at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday.
Finidi’s side lost 3-0 to defending champions Pyramids FC of Egypt on matchday one.
The former Nigeria international stated that it is important for his players rise up to the occasion against the CAF Confederation Cup champions.
“We owe it to our fans to rise up to the occasion and get a result against RS Berkane. We did well for 50 minutes against Pyramids and then lost concentration. We cannot afford to do that tomorrow,” Finidi said during his interaction with the media.
The Group A encounter will kick-off at 4pm.
