The England international previously wore the No 20 but will take the number previously worn by Mykhailo Mudryk, who has been left without a number.
Meanwhile, new signing Liam Delap has been given the No 9 shirt, which is said to be a 'cursed' number among the fanbase, due to players not reaching their potential at the club with that number on their backs.
