The Indian Premier League (IPL) is making plans to resume, with a revised schedule released in the coming days.
The world's biggest franchise league was suspended for one week on Friday because of the hostilities between India and neighbouring Pakistan.
A ceasefire announced on Saturday appears to have held and top officials from each nation held talks on Monday.
The Pakistan Super League (PSL), which was initially moved to the United Arab Emirates and then postponed indefinitely, is also making plans to reschedule its final eight matches.
There are 16 games remaining to be played in the IPL, which was due to be concluded on 25 May.
Any new plan could involve cutting the number of venues used, or playing more double headers.
While players from England and Australia left India when the league was suspended, other overseas players and coaches remained. League leaders Gujarat Titans trained over the weekend.
Of the 10 English players taking part in the IPL, eight are centrally contracted to England. It is thought they will be left to take personal decisions on their return to India.
