Chelsea secured the domestic Treble in style with a dominant performance against Manchester United in the Women's FA Cup final at Wembley.
Sandy Baltimore netted twice, while substitute Catarina Macario also found the scoresheet, capping off a remarkable debut season for Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor.
Among the crowd was new Chelsea board member and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, joined by his wife Serena Williams, following their recent £20m investment in the club.
The breakthrough came via Baltimore, who coolly slotted home a penalty after Celin Bizet's high boot caught Erin Cuthbert. It came after early chances from Mayra Ramirez and Aggie Beever-Jones, which had begun to shift momentum Chelsea’s way following an energetic United start.
Macario, introduced in the second half, made an immediate impact by heading in Chelsea’s second goal, and Baltimore added a late third in stoppage time from close range to seal the win.
Despite starting with intensity, United struggled to convert their early energy into clear chances and failed to seriously test goalkeeper Hannah Hampton. Appearing in their third consecutive FA Cup final, they once again came up short, unable to respond after falling behind.
Having already clinched their sixth straight Women’s Super League title in April and the Women’s League Cup against Manchester City, Chelsea now celebrate their first Treble since 2021. The victory also extends their dominant run over United, with 14 wins in their last 16 encounters.
