Arteta begs Nigerian-born striker to stay at Arsenal


Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, is desperate for Chido Martin-Obi to remain with the Premier League club.

The 16-year-old has shown his stunning talent with an incredible goalscoring streak in the U18 Premier League.

He scored a whopping 29 goals in just 17 appearances and has made two appearances in the Premier League 2 despite his young age.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are believed to be interested in Chido Obi-Martin.

And according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Twitter: “Understand Arsenal have now improved their offer to Chido Obi Martin to keep him at the club.

“Arteta, also pushing for him to stay.

No agreement yet, as pathway is key for Chido — player still exploring bids from FC Bayern, Borussia Dortmund and more before deciding.”
