New Super Eagles invitee Sodiq Ismail registered his 13th assist of the season as Remo Stars lost 3-2 at Kwara United on Sunday.
Remo Stars dropped to third position in the table following the defeat.
The defeat put a dent on the Daniel Ogunmodede side’s chance of a winning a first NPFL title.
Kwara United raced into a three-goal lead through Wasiu Alalade, Isaiah Ejeh and Ahmed Akinyele’s own goal.
The visitors however reduced the deficit courtesy of two late goals from Franck Mawuena and Dayo Ojo.
Rangers continue their push for a eighth NPFL title courtesy of a comfortable 3-0 victory over Bayelsa United.
Former NPFL top scorer Godwin Obaje bagged a brace for the Flying Antelopes with Chiedozie Okorie netting the other goal.
