Ledley King snubs names best striker in history

Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King has named Arsenal legend Thierry Henry as the best striker in Premier League history.

Speaking on the Vibe with FIVE podcast, King recounted how Henry could drag you all over the pitch.

According to him, it gave Henry the edge over other players like Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

He said: “Henry was the best striker in the Premier League for me. Why? Just all over the pitch. Loved it out on the left wing, you couldn’t go out there.

“When he comes inside, gets ahead of steam, he’s dribbling – that’s a problem for you. Could run in behind you, skillful, strong. He had everything.

“He was the one striker that I felt could embarrass me if I had an off day. Other than that, I didn’t really feel like that.”

“Ronaldo was a winger. Bit different. Rooney? Quality, just like Berbatov. But not in the same embarrass you way. Van Nistelrooy was more of a box player. I didn’t fear him outside the box at all.”
