Why I threw bottle at Chelsea coach, Pochettino – Cole Palmer

Chelsea midfielder, Cole Palmer has apologised to manager Mauricio Pochettino after accidentally throwing a bottle at him.

The incident occurred last Saturday after Chelsea drew 2-2 with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer, who joined the Blues in a £42.5 million deal from Manchester City this summer, opened the scoring from the spot.

However, after Mykhailo Mudryk made it 2-0, the Gunners fought back to earn a point.

After Arsenal’s 84th-minute equaliser, Palmer chucked a bottle towards the dugout and it hit Pochettino.

“When they scored their second goal I was getting a drink,” Palmer told Chelsea’s website.

“I went to throw the bottle away, as you do, but didn’t look. I just saw it loop dead slow and hit the gaffer.

“I said sorry to him and apologised properly after the game. Hopefully he won’t drop me for that!
