I need to hear what you want – Pochettino tells Chelsea star

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has said he will hold talks with young defender Levi Colwill amidst reported interest from Liverpool and Brighton.

The Blues’ academy product is yet to make a senior appearance for the club and was on loan at Brighton last season, helping the Seagulls keep three clean sheets in 17 Premier League games.

The Mirror reports that Liverpool wants to sign the England U20 star this summer while Brighton is also hoping to land him on a permanent basis.

The Seagulls have already tabled a £30 million bid which was immediately turned down by Chelsea.

Blues manager Pochettino said he wants to have a conversation with the player.

“I need to get a feel for him. I need to hear what he has in his mind. What he expects. And then, of course, for him to listen to what I expect from him,” the Argentine told the press.

Chelsea is unwilling to part ways with Colwill this summer with Kalidou Koulibaly and Cesar Azpilicueta having left the club this summer.
