EPL: Trent Alexander-Arnold reveals who thought him free-kick after spectacular goal

Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold has revealed why he was able to score a set piece during their 3-0 victory over Leicester City on Monday night.

The England international struck in the 71st minute after the Reds were awarded a free-kick just outside Leicester City’s box.

Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah stood over the set-piece and the Egyptian rolled the ball for the right-back to produce a sensational strike into the top-right corner of the Foxes’ goal.

Alexander-Arnold said that the strike was the result of an old training ground drill, adding that manager Jurgen Klopp asked his players to try the routine again.

“He [Klopp] spoke to us, he said let’s try it again, it has been a while since we have done it. I think we caught them by surprise and I’ve been able to tuck it away. It was a well-worked goal,” he said.
