Sporting Lisbon coach Amorim reveals Mourinho message after Arsenal shock

Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim has dismissed comparisons with Jose Mourinho after their Europa League win against Arsenal.

Sporting are into the quarterfinals draw after last night's penalty shootout triumph.

Asked about comparisons with Mourinho, Amorim said: "There will never be a Mourinho again. He already sent me a message, saying that the old and the new are in the next phase (laughs)

"I don't forget what we went through this year and what we went through a few weeks ago, in which there were white handkerchiefs in the tie against Midtjylland.

"I'm happy here and I want to win at least one more championship with Sporting. I'm not looking for anything and I don't know what tomorrow will bring.

"I will continue with Sporting's project."

On the shootout, Amorim added: "I never watched it, I went to talk to [Hugo] Viana about a subject that I can't say. I never watch penalties and I'm going to keep that."
