I stay! Haaland revises buyout clause in Man City deal

The buyout clause in Erling Haaland's Manchester City contract has been revised.

Initially, the clause was set for €200m and would come into effect in the summer of 2024.

But now the journalist Oriol Domènech has told Catalunya Ràdio that the clause has been suspended until the summer of 2025.

The reason for the change is the decision of manager Pep Guardiola to extend his contract after Haaland's arrival from Borussia Dortmund: "It was something the striker's camp and the club agreed on from the start".

Haaland has 39 goals and five assists in 36 competitive games for Manchester City this season.
