Champions League: Look at new pastures – Rio Ferdinand tells Harry Kane to leave Tottenham

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has advised Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, to leave Spurs and join a club where he can win a trophy as soon as possible.

Ferdinand gave the advice after Tottenham’s Champions League elimination on Wednesday.

Tottenham crashed out of the Champions League round of 16 after playing a 0-0 draw with AC Milan in England having lost the first leg 1-0 in Italy.

“Whatever happens silverware-wise, Spurs fans will be hoping that Harry Kane is ‘that’ guy,’ said Ferdinand on BT Sport:

“They will hope he wants to be ‘Mr. Spurs’ for the rest of his career.’

“If I were him, I would be looking at new pastures to get some silverware. It’s not long ago they played the Champions League final and finished second in the league, but they’re a club that are moving further and further away from where he wants to be. He needs to go where he thinks he’ll get his hands on a trophy quickest.”
