Former Premier League star John Barnes has told promising Manchester City winger Rico Lewis that he would ‘struggle’ at Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester United.
However, he noted that the 18-year-old has been impressive for Manchester City through the season.
Lewis played his first game for the Cityzens senior side in August 2922 and has since featured more frequently.
“I’ve been very impressed with Rico Lewis,” Barnes told BonusCodeBets.
The former Liverpool player added, “He grew up in the City youth system so he understands his role. If you put him in the Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester United team he may struggle or just not get in the team.”
