US investment group MSP Sports Capital have not given up on owning an equity stake in Everton.
The New York-based group are in discussions with owner Farhad Moshiri about investing in Everton.
The deal could see them invest around £105 million to secure a 25 percent stake in the club.
Per the Financial Times, MSP co-founder Jahm Najafi is also being linked with a move to buy Tottenham.
