Arsenal legend, Emmanuel Petit has said that he is not sure Chelsea’s new signing, Mykhailo Mudryk is ‘happy’ at Stamford Bridge and suspects the 22-year-old would rather be at Arsenal.
The Ukraine international looked set to be heading to Arsenal a couple of weeks ago in a deal worth around £80m, but ended up at Chelsea as the Blues swooped in and signed the young star from Shakhtar Donetsk for 89 million pound.
The winger went on to sign an eight-and-a-half year contract with Graham Potter’s side and was introduced in the second half of Chelsea’s goalless Premier League draw at Liverpool.
Petit, a former Arsenal midfielder and retired France international, questioned if he would be happier at Arsenal.
“It is still a big gamble for the future. At first he wanted to go to Arsenal, but ended up at Chelsea, so my question is: ‘Is he happy about that?’ I’m not sure,” Petit told Betway.
“But definitely he would add quality to their squad. I hope that he will be successful at Chelsea,” he added.
