Barcelona remain in the hunt for Flamengo fullback Wesley.

Sport says the club has technical reports recommending the signing of the Brazilian full-back, who is seen as having the potential to make the leap to the first team almost immediately.

For this reason, Barcelona aim to reopen negotiations with Flamengo and try to reach an agreement in the next transfer window.

Wesley's loan deal fell through on the penultimate day of the Januart transfer window because the reigning Copa Libertadores champions were unmovable.

Flamengo demanded €1.5 million for the loan of the player and a compulsory purchase option of €15 million, an absolutely unreachable figure for a player who was, in principle, going to Barca Atletic, coached by Rafa Márquez.
