World Cup: William Saliba blames Deschamps for France’s 1-0 defeat to Tunisia

Arsenal defender, William Saliba has blamed France manager, Didier Deschamps for their defeat to Tunisia in the World Cup on Wednesday.

He said that the decision of the manager to make a number of changes in the starting XI and play some of the players out of position contributed to their struggles in the 1-0 defeat against the African side.

Deschamps made nine changes to the side which beat Denmark in their second group game.

“The team was changed, there were a lot of players who had never played together, so it was a bit difficult,” the Arsenal star told beIN Sport.

“There were players who weren’t in their usual position, so they weren’t used to it.”

Meanwhile, William Saliba has been in impressive form for Arsenal this season, helping the Gunners stay top of the Premier League table heading into the World Cup.
