World Cup: Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville name only player on planet that can stop Kylian Mbappe

Premier League legends, Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville have picked Manchester City’s Kyle Walker as the only player on the planet that can stop France’s Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe was the key figure when France won the World Cup in France four years ago and has started so impressively in Qatar, with three goals in his basket already

France will likely play the runner-up from Group C, which is Poland while England, leaders of Group B, will face Senegal in the last-16.

This means that a possible quarter-final clash between France and England would happen and Ferdinand and Neville believe England has nothing to worry about as Walker could nullify their star man Mbappe.

“It looks like a collision course waiting to happen doesn’t it? Mbappe versus Walker. We’ve got the perfect right-back to deal with Mbappe if anyone can – physical, pace, experience,” Neville said on Sky Sports.

“For me, Kyle Walker is the only defender on the planet right now that will stand there and go to Mbappe: “Right, 1-v-1, let’s have a race,” Ferdinand said on Vibe with FIVE.
