Transfer: Cristiano Ronaldo to complete move to new club following major disappointment

Cristiano Ronaldo will now hasten his move to Saudi Arabian side, Al Nassr, according to The Times.

The 37-year-old is expected to complete his move to the Arabian side imminently as no big European sides are interested in making an offer to the free agent.

Ronaldo is not attached to any club side after leaving Manchester United and so could easily switch to any interested club.

The Saudi side have reportedly made an enormous offer for some time and the deal is said to be worth around £175m-per-year.

Ronaldo wanted to play for a club in the Champions League if possible, but, according to the report, he is now disappointed as there have been no offers from European giants forthcoming.

The Times reports that the veteran striker’s toxic exit from Manchester United and being dropped by Portugal coach Fernando Santos at the World Cup has put off top clubs in Europe from making a move for him.

Due to his advancing years and enormous wages, European clubs have decided that the former Real Madrid and Juventus star is not worth the investment, even without a transfer fee involved.
