Shakhtar chief Nicolini on Mudryk: I cannot deny Arsenal's interest

Arsenal's interest in Mykhaylo Mudryk appears to be very real as the winter transfer window nears.

The Gunners are desperate to add depth and quality options for manager Mikel Arteta for the rest of this season.

Shakhtar Donetsk's deputy sporting director Carlo Nicolini has now spoken about the future of Mudryk, who is a hot property around Europe.

Nicolini told Calcio Mercato: "Today, Mudryk has been told, like all other players, to present himself for the training in Antalya on the 9th of January.

“There is interest from Arsenal, I cannot deny it."

He added: "Many clubs are interested in Mudryk, but there weren't official offers.

“In my opinion, Italian teams has not enough economic strength for a player like this."
