O'Neil admits Bournemouth trouble before Chelsea clash

Premier League outfit Bournemouth have been hit by a virus as they prepare for their return to action against Chelsea.

The Cherries have already played a League Cup tie, losing 1-0 to Newcastle United in midweek.

But now they face an even greater injury crisis, with many players unwell or unavailable due to illness.

"We've had a tricky last 10 days," said Cherries boss Gary O'Neil before that match.

“A real bad virus went through the group, so we'll have to make a few last-minute calls on a few. The boys, some of them have missed real long spells with it, so up to 10 days.

“Some of them have missed training. It was a nasty one."
