Ex-Flying Eagles winger, Sor completes Genk move


Former Flying Eagles winger, Yira Sor has linked up with Belgian Pro League club, KRC Genk on a permanent transfer.

Sor joined the Smurfs from Czech champions, Slavia Prague.

The 22-year-old penned a contract with Wouter Wracken’s side until 2027.

Genk reportedly parted with €6.5m to sign the player.

Sor is now Genk’s second most expensive signing surpassing compatriot Paul Onuachu who arrived from FC Midtjylland for €6m in 2019.

The pacy winger will undergo an individual training programme before linking up with his teammates after the New Year.

Sor caught the eye after starting for Slavia Prague in the UEFA Conference League last season, netting seven times in seven appearances.

He scored 11 times and contributed nine assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for the Red and Whites last season.
