Former Liverpool defender, Jim Beglin has taken a jibe at former Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Beglin said Ronaldo did Manchester United a favour by triggering his exit from the club.
He spoke during Manchester United’s Premier League 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday
Beglin, who was on commentary duty, was impressed with Man United’s attacking football against Nottingham Forest.
He said (via Hotstar): “With all due respect to the great man [Ronaldo], he did this club a favour by triggering his exit.”
Recall that Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was mutually terminated in November following the player’s explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
