Maifredi: Pogba injury a failure of Juve management; Man Utd knew what they were doing

Former Juventus chief Luigi Maifredi has questioned management's decision to re-sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

The France midfielder is out of the World Cup after a preseason knee injury and the decision to delay surgery.

Maifredi says Juve failed to do their homework on Pogba, who had struggled with injury at United for the previous two seasons.

He told TMW: “Behind the failure of the Juventus team there is also the poor performance of the transfer campaign.

"Then let's face it, if Manchester gives away Pogba so easily, they must have [known] something. There are consequences for Juventus."
