Borussia Monchengladbach have opened the door to selling Manu Kone next year.
The midfielder, reports Fussball Transefers, was the subject of a €35m offer from Newcastle United this past summer.
Gladbach successfully fought off the Toon, but managing director Stephan Schippers says their stand will change next year.
A shortfall of €15m is looming and Schippers says: "A deficit in this financial year can hardly be avoided without a significant transfer surplus.
"It would be good if we achieved a transfer surplus next summer, but it is not necessary for survival because the club's economic situation is too stable for that thanks to the solid work in recent years."
