UCL: Jude Bellingham reveals what he told Haaland after Dortmund’s 0-0 draw with Man City

Borussia Dortmund star, Jude Bellingham has revealed what he told former teammate and Manchester City’s goalmachine, Erling Haaland after they played out a draw in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Manchester City and Dortmund made it to the knockout stages of the competition after a goalless draw in Germany.

It was Haaland’s first return to Signal Iduna Park since his move to the Etihad in the summer.

After the game, Haaland made a beeline for Bellingham and the two former teammates shared a joke on the pitch.

Asked about their previous conversation at the Etihad and what they spoke about this time around, the England international told BT Sport: “I don’t think I said it like that but yeah!

“Obviously it is nice to keep all of them [City players] out, but obviously him in particular because we know how dangerous he is.

“I said to him at the end of the game, ‘We’re 1-1 now on goals!”. So I’m not too satisfied because I haven’t scored either!’

“But of course we got the draw and that’s what we needed from the game and we’re just happy to go through really so we can carry on this journey.”
