Liverpool midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain returns to training

Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in light training with his teammates.

The English box-to-box star has been absent since pre-season when he suffered a thigh injury.

However, the Daily Mail states that he is ahead of schedule in terms of his comeback.

While The Ox may not be involved in their next couple of matches, he may be back with the first-team squad for matchdays before the World Cup.

The Reds will be without Luis Diaz until Boxing Day, while Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also facing spells on the sidelines.

Liverpool are presently 10th in the Premier League, after finishing second last season.
