Arsenal boss Arteta explains Turner setback

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has explained goalkeeper Matt Turner's absence from their Europa League clash on Thursday.

While Turner was the regular goalkeeper for these games, first choice shot stopper Aaron Ramsdale played away from home against PSV Eindhoven.

After they lost the game 2-0 in Holland, Arteta addressed the Turner situation in his post-match press conference:

“Yesterday in training he had some discomfort in his groin. He tried this morning but he wasn't well, so Aaron had to play."

He added on whether the injury was serious: “I don't know - we'll have to assess him. It didn't look a serious injury, no."
