Tottenham are holding talks with recruitment expert Jeff Vetere.
The Londoners are hoping to bring in the former Aston Villa and Newcastle United expert.
According to Football Insider, the club hope that Vetere will work on their Under-21s recruitment in the coming years.
Vetere is said to be an ally of Spurs managing director Fabio Paratici, with the two set to work closely together.
Vetere was a scout for a short time at Real Madrid before making the move to Newcastle.
He then became chief scout at Aston Villa before a spell as technical director at Charlton and then sporting director at Birmingham.
The London club want to work on ensuring they have a pool of talented youth players coming through the system to eventually join the first team.
Paratici has been a central figure in Spurs strengthening their squad for manager Antonio Conte this summer.
