O'Neil on Bournemouth sale: Well, the players will welcome Las Vegas trips!

Gary O'Neil has joked that Bournemouth's first-team squad are excited about a potential free trip to Las Vegas amid reports that Maxim Derim is looking to sell the club.

A group led by American businessman Bill Foley, who owns NHL team Las Vegas Golden Knights, has been linked with a takeover bid for the Cherries.

When asked if talk of a takeover bid had been a boost to his squad in the build-up to Saturday's trip to Newcastle, O'Neil told the Daily Echo: "I'm not sure. I haven't heard any chat of it between the players.

"I've had no mention of it. We've been working on the stuff on the grass.

"Probably the only thing that excites the players is a free trip to Las Vegas at the end of the season!

"So I don't think they're too concerned about it."
