Liverpool midfielder Keita named in Guinea squad

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita could return to action on international duty.

The central midfielder has been out with injury so far this season for the Premier League side.

However, he will be involved for his native Guinea in the upcoming international break.

He is in the national team squad, while Guinea manager Kaba Diawara believes he will be fit in the next two weeks.

"His situation is improving and he is even ahead of schedule," said the Guinea boss.

"We took a group of 24 players precisely to give him a chance to be able to count on him because he is a very important player for us, on and off the pitch, he is our captain.

"We are monitoring his situation very closely. We still have a little over two weeks before our first game. Chances are we could get him back by then."

However, the Liverpool Echo suggests that Keita may only train with Guinea to build up fitness, and will not participate in their matches
