Gladbach chief Virkus admits growing interest for Liverpool, Newcastle target Kone

Premier League clubs have been encouraged as Borussia Monchengladbach director of football Roland Virkus claims there have already been enquiries for Manu Kone.

The French midfielder is likened to compatriot Paul Pogba and reports have linked him to Newcastle and Liverpool.

Virkus accepted a sale may happen further down the line.

He told Bild : “I'd be lying if I said we would never sell him. There have already been enquiries for Manu, but we don't have to sell him yet.

“The boy must want to take his next step to a club that is significantly bigger than Gladbach, and we also have to be satisfied."
