Real Madrid coach Ancelotti expecting big things from Rodrygo

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is expecting big things from Rodrygo Goes this season.

Ancelotti made clear that Rodrygo will get more opportunities this season after netting some important goals in the Champions League last year.

"He is going to have a more important role because last year he made the difference in decisive games and he will start more often," Ancelotti added.

"He will play on the right wing and he can replace Vinicius on the left, and he can even play in Karim [Benzema]'s place. He is very complete and it will be a very important year for him."

Ten years after Luka Modric's arrival at Los Blancos, Ancelotti does not expect the Croatia international will not retire at the end of this season.

"It was a good signing for Real Madrid and for him," Ancelotti noted.

"His career has been very consistent and he has always played very well, at a very high level.

"He can go on for more because I see him fresh and very motivated. I think he will continue for another season."
